Job Overview
Join a leading provider in wear-resistant equipment specializing in the mining and processing sectors with over 40 years of expertise. This opportunity offers a blend of workshop and site roles within the Bowen Basin CHPP sector, including potential overtime and career advancement prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical maintenance and refurbishment tasks.
- Resurface and reline chutes, pipes, cyclones, and related equipment.
- Fit ceramic wear liners to CHPP machinery.
- Assist tradespeople during maintenance shutdowns.
- Work across both workshop and site settings following roster arrangements.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols to maintain a safe and efficient workplace.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a current Standard 11 certificate.
- Hold a valid Coal Board Medical clearance.
- Completion of the BMA Core Induction.
- Ability to successfully pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Experience in roles such as Trade Assistant, Labourer, or Maintenance.
- Strong mechanical skills and eagerness to learn.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Dedicated to safety and effective teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in CHPP or wash plant operations.
- Background working with fixed plant equipment.
- Mechanical or maintenance industry background.
- Holding relevant High Risk Work Licences.
Compensation and Benefits
- Earn $33.90 per hour (town rate) plus superannuation and applicable penalties.
- Site work compensated at $39.00 per hour plus super and penalties.
- Penalty rates apply for all hours exceeding 38 per week.
- Monday through Friday work schedule with optional overtime to increase earnings.
- Balanced work between workshop (typically 2 days) and site (3 days).
