Role Mission

The Total Rewards Specialist for Asia will lead and elevate the regional Total Rewards strategy to strengthen talent competitiveness, support business growth, and ensure market-aligned, cost-effective reward programs. This position governs compensation, benefits, and incentive programs to attract, retain, and engage key talent, while ensuring compliance and responsible financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee Asia’s compensation and benefits framework aligned with business priorities and market competitiveness.
  • Lead regional salary structure design, compensation cycles, and equity reviews using data-driven insights to mitigate risks and improve talent outcomes.
  • Ensure governance of policies, pay-equity frameworks, and maintain audit-ready documentation across markets.
  • Design, optimize, and govern short-term and long-term incentive programs aligned with business results and talent plans.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR partners to model financial impacts, set payout curves, and uphold global consistency and compliance.
  • Track incentive program ROI and payout-to-performance alignment; suggest enhancements based on market trends and internal analytics.
  • Manage regional benefits design, monitor cost trends and employee feedback for continuous portfolio improvement.
  • Drive cost and service improvements through vendor negotiations and experience-based redesigns.
  • Benchmark benefits against regional practices to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create and deliver Total Rewards communication materials and leadership enablement training across Asia.
  • Equip leaders with transparent frameworks, market insights, and decision-making tools to enforce governance and minimize exceptions.
  • Partner with talent management and business excellence teams to integrate Total Rewards insights into workforce and talent planning.

Performance Metrics

  • Achieve at least 80% alignment between incentive payouts and business performance metrics for major plans.
  • Reduce pay-structure exceptions and off-cycle adjustments by 20% or more via governance and leadership enablement.

First Year Deliverables

  • Implement a unified global incentive architecture that aligns with business and talent strategies.
  • Establish a clear, actionable Total Rewards approach for Asia.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced HR certification preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits within multinational organizations.
  • Proven expertise designing, implementing, and managing incentive programs.
  • Strong financial skillset for modeling program impacts and costs.
  • Effective influence on senior leaders and cross-functional decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and analytical capabilities.
