Tooling Inspector

Overview

This role requires a tooling inspector to perform precise measurement and quality assurance tasks crucial for manufacturing processes. The candidate must be fluent in English and hold a college or CEGEP diploma. A minimum of five years’ experience in related fields is essential. The role demands physical presence at the company’s premises in Uxbridge, Ontario, with no remote option.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables accurately.
• Record and report any deviations from prescribed specifications and tolerances.
• Maintain thorough inspection documentation and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Use precise measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions.
• Ensure all products conform to established quality standards.
• Apply quality control procedures and perform regular product inspections.

Experience and Tools

• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, verniers, and other measuring equipment.
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Background in quality assurance and control in an industrial manufacturing setting.

Work Environment and Conditions

• Fast-paced industrial manufacturing setting requiring attention to detail.
• Ability to withstand tight deadlines and stand for prolonged periods.
• Handling weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• Must bring personal steel-toed safety boots.
• Transportation: personal transportation required; public transit is unavailable.
