Job description
Overview
This role involves fabricating and assembling High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) dies using 2D drawings, 3D models, and specific die designs to ensure high-quality tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manufacturing and assembly processes for HPDC dies with adherence to detailed design specifications.
- Operate CNC milling machines, EDM, wire-cutting equipment, perform drilling, grinding, and precise fitting tasks.
- Fabricate and install critical die components including cavity and core inserts, slides, lifters, ejector systems, cooling lines, and runner & overflow systems.
- Liaise regularly with Design, CNC, EDM, Quality Control, and Die Casting Trial teams to ensure seamless operations and quality outcomes.
- Facilitate die modifications, provide troubleshooting support, and implement corrective measures informed by trial results and client feedback.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for tool changes, repairs, and inspection outcomes.
- Assist in die fitting, assembly, and trial runs to support production efficacy.
