Job description
Role Overview
Our client is in search of a seasoned Threat Intelligence Manager to spearhead and advance their cyber threat intelligence operations. Positioned under the Head of Information Security Cyber Defense Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the identification, analysis, and communication of cyber threats, supplying actionable intelligence to bolster the organization's security framework and safeguard vital information resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the Threat Intelligence team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and cyber risk strategies.
- Create, implement, and sustain an anticipatory Threat Intelligence program that identifies emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Perform threat actor profiling, malware examination, reverse engineering, and digital forensics investigations.
- Generate and present actionable intelligence reports, briefings, and key recommendations tailored for both technical staff and executive leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Incident Response teams to aid threat mitigation and manage cyber incident investigations.
- Administer Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs) and guarantee their smooth integration with security monitoring and response systems.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with intelligence-sharing bodies such as FS-ISAC and other external stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance intelligence collection practices, threat detection proficiency, and reporting methodologies.
- Support oversight of third-party security and ensure adherence to relevant security standards and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of professional experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Threat Analysis, Cyber Defense, or related areas, preferably within a large enterprise or financial services sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of leading threat intelligence models including MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis.
- Proficient in hands-on malware analysis, reverse engineering, digital forensic techniques, and cyber incident investigations.
- Experienced with Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) processes, and commercial threat intelligence data feeds.
- Familiarity with compliance and security standards including ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SWIFT, and applicable regional cybersecurity regulations.
- Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and effective communication and analytical faculties.
- Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Possession of relevant certifications such as GCTI, CTIA, CISSP, CISM, GCFA, GREM, or ENCE is highly advantageous.
