About the Role
Cilium Tetragon is an adaptable security solution designed for Kubernetes environments, providing real-time monitoring and enforcement at the kernel level by utilizing eBPF technology. It effectively strengthens security posture by observing critical system behaviors such as process executions, system calls, and network and file activities with minimal overhead.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update Tetragon runtime security policies to give customers clear visibility of suspicious actions within their infrastructure and safeguard them from emerging cyber threats.
- Design frameworks and system architectures that facilitate easy policy consumption and comprehensive understanding of security postures.
- Track vulnerability disclosures (CVEs) and the latest threat intelligence to inform the development of security policies.
- Collaborate with software engineers at Isovalent and Cisco to continually enhance Tetragon policy features and effectiveness.
- Engage with solution architects and users to support deployment and real-world use of Tetragon policies.
- Publish research and present findings related to Tetragon’s security work.
Required Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in threat or vulnerability research.
- Minimum three years of experience creating scalable security detections applicable across varied environments.
- At least three years of professional experience with Linux system security, including capabilities and Linux Security Modules (LSMs).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with eBPF and its security-related applications.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies such as containers and Kubernetes, including their Linux implementations like cgroups and namespaces.
