Position Objectives and Responsibilities
- Maintain test fixtures, systems, and equipment as directed by test engineers, shift leaders, and customers.
- Keep maintenance records up to date, perform software backups, and manage ordering of certain spare parts.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in test equipment.
- Support New Product Introduction activities.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a product-focused team.
- Provide training for debug technicians.
- Perform preventative maintenance on ICT and Functional Test Equipment.
- Complete downtime and maintenance logs and conduct root cause analysis on recurring downtime issues.
Personnel Requirements
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma Certification in Engineering at NFQ Level 6 or equivalent.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar test engineering environment.
- Strong communication and persuasion capabilities.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative.
- Willingness and availability to work in shift patterns.
- Competent computer literacy.
Desirable Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with high-level or database programming languages.
- Previous experience within test engineering or test debugging roles.
