Design Engineer

About the Role

Venus Engineering Works in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is seeking a Design Engineer specialized in CAD and mechanical design with a focus on valves. The role involves creating detailed 2D and 3D models for a variety of valves including Gate, Globe, Check, Ball, and Butterfly valves.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D and 2D CAD models for various valve types.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as MSS SP-91/92, API 600/609, IBR and British Standards.
• Engineer valves suitable for pressure ratings from 150# up to 2500#.
• Prepare technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOM) for designs.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales departments throughout project lifecycles.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Between 0 to 5 years of experience in CAD or mechanical design disciplines.
• Experience involving design of valves or pressure-related equipment is essential.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and conducting design reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with specialized service conditions such as H2S environments, cryogenic applications, or corrosive services.
• Familiarity with regulatory codes such as IBR, PED, and ASME Section VIII.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems to support design workflows.
