Position Overview
The Territory Service Representative (TSR) in operations plays a vital role in ensuring on-time pickup and delivery of customer shipments within a designated territory. The TSR represents Blue Dart on the ground by maintaining professionalism, handling shipments safely, and meeting service expectations. Close collaboration with shift in-charges and branch operations ensures operational discipline and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Carry out timely pickup and delivery as per assigned routes maintaining service timelines.
- Verify shipment details before collection and delivery, ensuring careful handling to prevent damages or loss.
- Maintain route efficiency and delivery productivity.
- Serve as the customer-facing representative reflecting professionalism and courteous behavior.
- Address basic customer queries on-site and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collect Cash on Delivery (COD) payments accurately and ensure proper documentation with Proof of Delivery (POD).
- Use handheld scanners or approved digital platforms for real-time shipment updates.
- Follow all operational procedures and safety guidelines thoroughly.
- Wear company uniform and personal protective equipment as required.
- Maintain and ensure the roadworthiness of assigned or personal vehicles, including timely upkeep of all statutory documents.
- Display punctuality, discipline, and comply strictly with workplace rules and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support operational needs during peak periods.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum educational qualification: completion of 8th standard; higher education is advantageous.
- Fresher candidates or up to 2 years of relevant experience in courier, logistics, distribution, retail delivery, or field operations preferred.
Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Possession of a valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler is required if deployment involves use of a personal vehicle.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of field operations.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays as per business needs.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in pickup and delivery processes and shipment handling.
- Proficient in cash collection (COD) and proof of delivery documentation.
- Ability to use mobile and scanning devices along with basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with local routes and basic English comprehension.
- Strong customer focus, reliability, integrity, teamwork, discipline, time management, accountability, safety awareness, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
