Position Overview

The role of Senior Operations Staff involves executing and supporting daily operational tasks at Blue Dart's Service Centres, Hubs, Warehouses, and Processing Units. The position demands maintaining shipment accuracy, productivity, and service quality while assisting shift leaders with work distribution, training new employees, resolving operational exceptions, and ensuring adherence to standard procedures. The role also contributes to operational discipline and consistent performance across tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage activities such as receiving, sorting, scanning, bagging, tagging, and shipment processing.
• Assist in loading and unloading shipments following safety protocols.
• Ensure correct routing of shipments to avoid processing errors.
• Conduct shipment reconciliation and verify manifests.
• Maintain smooth operations during high-volume periods or contingencies.
• Perform data entry, update shipment information accurately, and maintain operational records.
• Check shipment labels and documentation for accuracy.
• Follow standard operating procedures diligently to uphold quality.
• Identify and propose improvements to operational workflows.
• Support and coach new staff, promote teamwork, and assist shift supervisors in scheduling tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and statutory regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: 10th Standard pass; higher qualifications preferred.
• 3 to 6 years experience in logistics, express distribution, warehousing, courier, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with shipment processing, sorting, scanning, and warehouse tasks preferred.
• Experience with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems is advantageous.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and physically able to perform standing, walking, and manual handling involved in operations.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic skills in English reading, communication, computers, and handheld scanning devices.
