Programme Overview
This structured twelve-month development initiative, titled the Territory Manager in Training Programme, is tailored for early-career individuals aiming to build skills and make tangible contributions in a sales and service context. Commencing October 1, 2026, participants benefit from blended learning approaches such as classroom instruction, virtual sessions, hands-on job shadowing, and mentoring by seasoned professionals, all while engaging directly with customers in real operational settings.
The geographic focus for the territory includes Connacht counties: Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, and Sligo.
Division Details
Within our Institutional & Specialty division, we offer an extensive portfolio of chemical products and solutions tailored to industries including food service, hospitality, laundry, healthcare, education, corporate, and government facilities.
Role Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture dependable relationships with existing clients through consistent onsite visits.
- Gain proficiency with customers' ware-washing and laundry systems, participating hands-on in equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and user training to ensure full operational functionality.
- Progressively identify opportunities for territory growth, provide training and demonstrations, and support emergency service needs.
- Coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as Marketing Services and Customer Service to align sales and service efforts.
- Engage potential clients proactively to expand Ecolab's market presence and secure new business.
Candidate Requirements
- Completion of vocational training or an equivalent educational qualification.
- Previous exposure to customer-centric roles, preferably in business-to-business commercial sales, service, or hospitality sectors.
- Basic technical know-how for installation, upkeep, and problem resolution of relevant equipment.
- A strong eagerness to learn, receptiveness to constructive feedback, and motivation for continuous skill enhancement.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability to evolving challenges.
- Aspirations to cultivate a long-term career in sales and service-focused positions.
- Fundamental IT capabilities, with CRM experience considered an advantage.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record and willingness to travel within the designated district and across the country.
