Termite Technician

As a Termite Technician, you will serve as the primary defense in identifying, preventing, and treating termite infestations, helping customers secure their properties and enjoy peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose termite issues accurately by understanding termite habits and behaviors to determine the best remedial actions.
• Perform termite treatments safely in line with company standards and guidelines.
• Apply anti-termite solutions according to prescribed schedules, safety protocols, and label instructions.
• Advise customers on factors encouraging termite activity and discuss additional procedures or structural modifications beyond treatments.
• Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of work orders before commencing jobs.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and pest control equipment.
• Document services rendered through detailed production forms.
• Engage with customers by explaining the services delivered and addressing their concerns.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Endure various environmental conditions including seasonal weather variations, dampness, and dusty areas.
• Prepare work sites and safely navigate structures, crawl spaces, and ladders up to 20 feet high.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Wear and utilize personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators.
• Capable of working in confined spaces and narrow passageways where pests typically reside.
• Experience in general labor fields like carpentry, roofing, cement work, gutters, or attic tasks is advantageous.

Candidate Requirements

• Must maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper fitting of safety equipment like respirators.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
• At least one year of customer service experience; prior termite control experience is beneficial.
• High attention to detail combined with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Flexibility to work Monday to Friday plus Saturdays on occasion.
• Must hold necessary licenses and certificates mandated at federal, state, or local levels (training and certification provided).
• Basic math competency including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to follow treatment mixing instructions.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting hourly pay ranges between $19.00 and $21.00, varying by geography, skills, education, and experience. Overall compensation may also include overtime, bonuses, incentives, commissions, and route assignments where appropriate.
