Termite Control Technician

About the Role

As a Termite Control Technician, you will be instrumental in safeguarding properties from termite damage. You will identify termite issues, perform treatments following safety and company protocols, and provide customers with peace of mind by protecting their homes and businesses from wood-destroying organisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose termite infestations and understand termite behavior to determine effective solutions
• Apply termite treatments accurately per schedule, safety guidelines, and product instructions
• Advise customers on conditions that could encourage termite activity, and suggest additional remedies or structural changes as necessary
• Ensure all work orders meet appropriate job specifications
• Operate and maintain service vehicles and necessary equipment
• Complete and submit detailed service documentation
• Communicate clearly with customers about the services provided and address their concerns

Essential Job Functions

• Adapt to various environmental factors including weather, dampness, and dusty settings
• Prepare treatment sites carefully and safely
• Enter confined spaces such as crawl areas and frequently climb ladders, stairs, and rooftops up to 20 feet high
• Perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
• Utilize personal protective equipment including OSHA-compliant respirators, and be comfortable working in tight or narrow spaces
• Carpentry, roofing, cement, gutter, and attic experience are beneficial

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver’s license from your state of residence; company vehicle and gas card provided
• Minimum one year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new skills
• Flexibility to work Monday through Friday and Saturdays when needed
• Clear facial area (clean-shaven) to ensure proper seal for respirators
• Compliance with licensing and certification requirements as dictated by federal, state, or local laws (covered by the company)
• Basic math proficiency to follow mixing and product usage instructions accurately

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $23, based on location, skills, education, and experience
