Technician - Packing

Overview

Based in Rajpura, Punjab, this role reports to the Manager and focuses on maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards while helping meet daily production targets concerning quantity and quality. The Technician is expected to efficiently manage and optimize the production process across various areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machinery by calibrating and cleaning prior to production cycles.
• Monitor and modify machine parameters such as speed for optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues arising during shifts.
• Operate and manage equipment through PLC systems.
• Inspect outputs carefully to detect machine-related defects or errors.
• Maintain detailed records of both approved and defective products.
• Handle production line machinery including homogenizers, pasteurizers, plate heat exchangers (PHE), online printers, and metal detectors.
• Label and weigh packaged products ready for shipment.
• Use basic computer skills to keep accurate operational documents and logs.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• In-depth understanding of processing, production, and packing technologies, including whip toppings, cooking creams, dairy analogues, bakery mixes, confectionery, decorations, culinary items, and proprietary foods.
• Experience in manufacturing and troubleshooting processes, particularly with whip toppings and fat emulsion products.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, GMP protocols, and related standards for food products.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• ITI certification from a government-recognized institute.
• 2 to 5 years of hands-on operational experience in ice cream, dairy, juice, non-dairy whip topping, edible oil, or vegetable fat plants, including manufacturing and filling processes.
