Role Overview

As a Technician I, your primary role is to support production operations through meticulous cleaning, packaging, and maintenance of semiconductor parts adhering to strict quality and safety standards. This position involves manual polishing, conducting in-process inspections, and specialized tasks such as masking in preparation for bead-blasting. Safe handling of chemicals, accurate data recording, and maintaining exemplary 6S housekeeping standards are critical responsibilities. The role demands flexibility in shifts, physical stamina for extended standing, and the ability to handle parts weighing up to 20 kilograms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and packaging tasks including wiping parts with solvents like IPA, scrubbing with abrasive materials, preparing sample kits, cleanroom packaging, and boxing parts for shipment.
• Maintain and update data records via spreadsheets to track production information.
• Engage actively in Quality Assurance and safety programs, including completing required trainings, and identifying any deviations from quality standards.
• Execute specialized tasks such as precise masking of parts for bead-blasting.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous cleaning chemicals.
• Work competently at chemical wet bench areas and manually polish aluminum, stainless steel, and ceramic components.
• Conduct in-process inspections to verify condition and quality of customer parts during cleaning.
• Manage multiple tasks within the workstation and provide support for ad-hoc assignments as requested.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and safety by practicing good 6S housekeeping and safety protocols.
• Adapt to work 12-hour rotating or fixed shifts involving prolonged standing and lifting up to 20kg parts.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Completion of High School diploma and education from Institute of Technical Education (ITE).
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments.
• Experience in chemical handling and working under stress.
• A positive attitude with strong teamwork abilities.
• Capability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to deliver quick production turnaround.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and assignments.
