Technician - Carpenter

Job Summary

This position involves constructing, installing, and repairing various wood structures including walls, partitions, drywall, wallpaper, moldings, and faux finishes. The role covers the installation and maintenance of finishes like laminates and rough framing for doors, windows, frames, and cabinetry. Additionally, the technician will undertake minor repairs such as fixing toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls throughout the property.

Additional Duties

• Order supplies by preparing requisitions, securing managerial approval, and selecting appropriate vendors.
• Handle freight using hand trucks, including loading, transporting, and unloading items from elevators to designated spots.
• Adhere to all corporate safety and security policies, report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents or injuries promptly, and participate in safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Use clear and professional communication; foster positive relationships with coworkers and guests.
• Welcome and assist guests according to company standards, including addressing needs of individuals with disabilities.
• Physically capable of moving objects up to 50 pounds, using fine motor skills, climbing ladders, and performing other reasonable job tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Relevant work experience: At least two years in a related carpentry or maintenance role.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No special licenses or certifications needed.
