About the Role
GT Medical is looking for a proactive and goal-oriented Technical Support Officer to enhance the efficiency of daily IT operations. This position involves delivering first-level technical assistance and resolving issues related to hardware, software, networks, and systems, ensuring a high-quality user support experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver immediate technical aid through phone, email, remote access, and on-site visits.
- Identify and fix problems with hardware, software, printers, and network setups.
- Install, set up, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile gadgets, and related peripherals.
- Administer user accounts, manage passwords, and control access rights in Microsoft 365.
- Support Microsoft 365 suite applications including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues spanning LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Assist onboarding and offboarding processes by managing IT setups and access control.
- Escalate issues that require advanced expertise to senior IT personnel.
- Keep IT equipment inventory updated and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to IT security standards and report security breaches timely.
- Install and maintain IP-based phone systems (Grandstream) and CCTV cameras (Hikvision).
- Configure and manage biometric authentication devices (ZKTeco).
- Deploy and oversee endpoint security frameworks like ESET.
- Conduct user training sessions and promote IT best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Between 1 and 3 years’ experience in IT support, help desk, or technical service roles.
- Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 platform applications.
- Sound understanding of networking concepts including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with hardware and software installations and debugging.
- Knowledge of IT asset management and user administration procedures.
- Experience or exposure to IP telephony (Grandstream), CCTV surveillance systems (Hikvision), and biometric security devices (ZKTeco) is advantageous.
- Competence with endpoint security tools such as ESET or similar software.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Capability to work effectively under stress and juggle multiple tasks.
- Preparedness to offer both on-site and remote IT assistance.
