Technical Strategist (Solution Architect)

Role Overview

Propellerhead seeks a Technical Strategist who will drive the creation of robust software systems that underpin complex infrastructure and innovative platforms. Collaborating closely with Product Strategists, this role shapes the technical roadmap and specifications for a portfolio of client products.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Over 8 years of experience in building multi-layered and distributed software applications.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to quickly prototype, design, and manage an AI-assisted delivery process spanning requirements, testing, and coding.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly in effectively engaging senior client stakeholders.
• Essential expertise in React for front-end and C# for services, with additional confidence working in languages such as TypeScript, Java, Go, and Rust.
• Demonstrated capability in architecting solutions on Microsoft Azure, including designing CI/CD pipelines and implementing operational monitoring.
• Desirable experience with streaming and messaging systems like Kafka or NATS.
• Proven leadership in designing complex software solutions, especially for enterprise environments combining legacy services with custom developments.
• Interest or experience in emerging areas such as digital identity, verifiable credentials, open banking, AI agent authorization, and edge/device-based deployments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, review, and communicate architectural designs and technical specifications together with development teams and core engineering groups.
• Advocate for Propellerhead's technical strategy as a competitive advantage and ensure the solutions in the portfolio adhere to that strategic vision.
• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key client decision-makers, clarifying technical requirements and presenting solution designs effectively.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for client solutions, facilitating technical prerequisites for delivery and improvements based on operational feedback.
• Develop strategies to uphold quality metrics such as rapid value delivery, security, reliability, maintainability, performance, and fit for purpose.
• Guide the transition of codebase from C# to Rust including the evolution of associated tools, practices, and services, leveraging AI centrally for requirements, testing, and code generation.
