Job description
About SoSafe and Role Overview
SoSafe aspires to be the top provider of human risk management solutions across Europe, offering an acclaimed platform that transforms awareness through engaging cybersecurity and data protection training and simulations. With cybercrime costs exceeding $10 trillion annually and escalating by 15% each year, SoSafe is committed to making a meaningful impact in this critical area.
This position places you inside one of SoSafe's platform teams where you will help organize complex technical programs. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and technical leads, you will guide project sequencing, identify risks early, ensure cross-team collaboration, and guarantee smooth delivery across all dependent teams. The focus is on outcomes rather than reports, adopting systems thinking and removing unseen obstacles to boost team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of programs involving multiple services, such as architecture migrations, compliance remediation, and retiring legacy systems.
- Collaborate with Product Management and go-to-market teams to align platform modifications impacting customers with engineering schedules, rollout plans, and external promises.
- Encourage the use of shared platform features by other teams, bridging the gap between delivering features and actual adoption.
- Coordinate complex multi-team migrations, managing dependencies, external constraints, and legacy systems carefully to avoid costly delays.
- Maintain mechanisms like dependency maps, risk logs, decision records, and regular status meetings to ensure program transparency and accountability.
- Introduce rigorous metrics tracking delivery health, such as incident frequency, adoption statistics, and time-to-impact, using insights to improve processes instead of generating redundant reports.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional technical initiatives with authority over technical decisions.
- Comfortable engaging in deep engineering discussions, understanding the technical stakes and reasoning.
- Able to organize ambiguous situations efficiently, using the simplest effective solutions.
- Experience working with engineering teams whose consumers are other internal teams, including infrastructure, data pipelines, or APIs.
- Successfully managed migrations or system retirements with significant downstream effects, ensuring a smooth transition that preserves trust.
- Communicates concisely with clear directives, documents decisions for appropriate stakeholders.
- Experienced using Jira, Confluence, and modern engineering toolchains, with well-formed opinions on their optimal utilization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in infrastructure, data engineering, or applied AI/ML platforms.
- Experience in SaaS environments undergoing platform consolidation or modernization.
- Knowledge of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) or monitoring as actionable delivery metrics rather than solely operational tools.
Success Indicators
- Within 3 months: Embedded with engineering leadership, full visibility on active programs, and beginning to enhance planning, tracking, and communication processes.
- Within 6 months: Established as trusted operational partner; previously stalled initiatives move forward predictably; cross-team dependencies surfaced earlier.
- Within 12 months: The team delivers in a smooth rhythm admired by others; established mechanisms run autonomously; ready to tackle new challenges.
Employee Benefits
- Flexible working hours with a strong work-life balance including 33 vacation days.
- Access to wellbeing programs like Open Up and various corporate discount schemes.
- Engagement through virtual events, collaborative team activities, and opportunities for local meet-ups.
- Additional perks include tech equipment, referral bonuses, and a dog-friendly headquarters.
