Technical Product Manager – Enterprise Data Management

Role Overview

The Technical Product Manager will oversee the entire lifecycle of enterprise data management products, including data platforms and processing solutions. This entails crafting compelling, feasible, and sustainable products, leading them to launch, and ensuring ongoing alignment with business needs, customer demands, and operational requirements. The individual will own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for products within the data value stream, ensuring these efforts advance enterprise data strategy, governance, scalability, and processing capabilities, while collaborating closely with Release Train Engineers to deliver customer value.

Core Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for enterprise data management products, aligning with strategic data goals and transforming them into actionable product plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from business, data, analytics, and technology domains to communicate strategy, vision, and progression of platform capabilities and features.
• Partner with Solution Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers to establish and uphold Non-Functional Requirements related to quality, scalability, security, governance, and performance.
• Manage workflow from portfolio Kanban to product backlog, prioritizing tasks to meet business, customer, and platform needs.
• Present product vision and upcoming features during Program Increment Planning sessions.
• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with architects to scope and sequence enabler work that supports architectural foundation and scalable data integration solutions.
• Organize system demonstrations to showcase critical capabilities, platform improvements, and processing outcomes to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
• Track and measure product success via adoption rates, customer insights, data quality, platform performance, and processing efficiency, recommending continuous enhancements.
• Provide regular status updates, manage risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating concerns to Senior Product Manager and Release Train Engineer as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, ideally with enterprise data management, data platforms, or data processing software products; experience in the aviation or airline sector is strongly favored.
• Practical knowledge of data engineering, data architecture, enterprise data platforms, or processing solutions, enabling credible technical discussions and alignment of product roadmaps with enterprise strategies.
• Certification as a Product Manager (CPM), Agile Certified Product Manager (ACPM), or equivalent is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Lean Portfolio Management is desirable.
