Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Options Trader to join our Sydney team and advance our trading strategies across the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will focus on building and refining options trading approaches, working closely with diverse internal teams to improve pricing, execution, and risk management frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance options trading strategies throughout APAC markets.
• Collaborate extensively with researchers, quantitative analysts, software developers, corporate strategy, and other departments to address challenges related to trading.
• Contribute strategically to shaping the team's future direction and challenge existing methodologies.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated success improving systematic or semi-systematic trading strategies, preferably at a leading market-making firm.
• Comprehensive understanding of options trading mechanics and associated challenges.
• Exhibit a strong yet prudent risk appetite aligned with trading goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills fostering collaboration.
• Genuine passion for trading and eagerness to drive continuous enhancement.
• Preference for Sydney-based candidates; however, exceptional applicants from other locations will be considered.
