Crypto Quantitative Trader

About the Role

We are working with a globally recognized proprietary trading company specializing in high-frequency trading within the cryptocurrency space. Renowned for its innovation and stellar performance in digital asset markets, this firm is expanding its Dubai team. This role offers a chance to lead the development and management of advanced algorithmic trading strategies using cutting-edge technology and real-time data.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead high-frequency or systematic trading strategies across international crypto markets.
• Oversee live trading operations by optimizing execution to enhance returns while reducing latency and slippage.
• Conduct research driven by large-scale data analysis to backtest, validate, and refine existing and new trading models.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, developers, and infrastructure teams to support robust, scalable trading platforms.
• Manage risk and capital by monitoring exposure, analyzing performance metrics, and making informed allocation decisions.
• Provide mentorship, sharing expertise and best practices to develop junior traders and researchers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in quantitative or algorithmic trading, including crypto, FX, equities, or other high-frequency/market-making roles.
• Proficient programming experience in Python, C++, or similar trading languages.
• In-depth understanding of market microstructure, execution systems, and trading technologies.
• Strong analytical capabilities for processing large datasets and applying insights in real-time trading scenarios.
• Proven ability to take full ownership of trading strategies with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Preparedness to relocate to Dubai and thrive in a fast-paced international trading environment.
• Experience in crypto markets is highly valued but not mandatory for candidates with transferable skills.
