Technical Architect (.NET)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect / Lead specializing in .NET and Azure to oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of large-scale, cloud-native enterprise solutions based on Microsoft technology. This role involves combining solution architecture with technical leadership, engineering oversight, and mentoring development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-level applications using Microsoft stack and Azure cloud services.
• Develop solution blueprints, define architecture standards and technical roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
• Validate and approve design approaches and implementation plans.
• Create architectural patterns focused on scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, and performance.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical governance, and design assurance to drive quality.
• Champion application modernization and cloud migration projects.
• Design critical systems with high availability.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design and event-driven architectural principles where relevant.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership across multiple development teams.
• Mentor developers and technical leads to promote engineering best practices.
• Conduct reviews of architecture, design, and code for quality and consistency.
• Assist with project planning including estimation, risk management, and delivery oversight.
• Serve as a trusted advisor during the software development lifecycle.
• Design cloud-native solutions with Azure services such as AKS, App Services, API Management, and Storage.
• Develop microservices, APIs, distributed and event-driven systems.
• Define enterprise integration strategies and best practices.
• Ensure engineering excellence by promoting SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, secure coding, DevOps automation, testing, monitoring, and operational readiness.
• Engage stakeholders through technical consultations, workshops, and presentations, translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

Required Technical Expertise

• .NET 8+, .NET Core, C# development
• ASP.NET Core / MVC and RESTful API design
• Microservices architecture and Entity Framework Core
• Dependency injection and asynchronous programming paradigms
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, API Management, Storage, Application Insights, Monitoring, and Security services
• Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and usage of Dapr
• Event-driven architecture, publish-subscribe patterns, and distributed systems design
• Database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Redis Cache, ORM frameworks, database tuning and optimization
• DevOps practices involving Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Git version control, CI/CD pipeline design, automated testing with xUnit, integration and performance testing
• Security concepts including OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication & authorization, secure API design, and application security best practices
• Familiarity with frontend technologies including TypeScript, React, Next.js, component design, API integration, responsive design, accessibility, state management, and performance enhancement

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in executing large-scale digital transformation projects
• Knowledge of Singapore public sector governance, compliance, security, and accessibility standards
• Background in designing secure, highly available systems in regulated environments
• Understanding of public sector delivery frameworks and technology standards
