Technical Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Architect to establish and guide the architectures underpinning our engineering organization. This role demands profound expertise in system design coupled with the capacity to influence multiple teams, shaping the long-term integration and coherence of systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine target architectures across core platform domains.
• Lead architecture review sessions and facilitate technical decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system designs and integration patterns.
• Document architecture decisions, Requests for Comments (RFCs), and technical strategy papers.
• Provide mentorship to senior engineers and establish architectural best practices.
• Assess emerging technologies and contribute to make build-versus-buy decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering with substantial experience in architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture principles.
• Proven success in designing systems capable of handling significant workloads.
• Strong written communication skills, including drafting RFCs and strategic technical documents.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Leadership style focused on mentorship and consultative guidance.

Compensation

The salary is competitive and corresponds to experience, qualifications, and geographic location, ranging between approximately $140,000 and $220,000 (USD equivalent), supplemented by additional benefits.
