Technical Architect

Role Summary

This full-time position for a Technical Architect is fully remote, offering a competitive salary with benefits. The role is responsible for defining and evolving the architectures that guide the engineering organization's platform systems, combining deep system design knowledge with influence across multiple teams to steer long-term system integration strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and continually improve target architectures across core platform components.
• Lead architecture review sessions and manage key technical decision-making processes.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on system designs and integration methodologies.
• Document architecture decisions, requests for comments (RFCs), and strategic technical plans.
• Mentor senior engineers and develop clear architectural principles.
• Assess emerging technologies to inform build versus buy strategies.

Requirements

• At least eight years of experience in software engineering with substantial focus on architectural roles.
• Expertise in distributed systems and cloud-native architectural design.
• Proven history of designing scalable systems handling significant loads.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting RFCs and technology strategies.
• Experience influencing teams and decisions without formal authority.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities with a consultative approach.
