Team Member - Tesco Cafe

About the Role

As a team member in the Tesco Cafe at Newry, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service while performing cooking and serving duties. You'll ensure the food meets the menu standards and complies with health and safety regulations, alongside maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen equipment and customer areas. This position offers an engaging and dynamic work environment with flexible hours and opportunities for growth. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen tools and equipment.
• Efficiently and courteously serve customers.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, keeping accurate daily records.
• Implement first in, first out (FIFO) stock rotation to preserve food freshness.
• Receive deliveries and ensure correct storage of food items.
• Comply with all operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to exact specifications.
• Ensure consistent availability and quality of food products.
• Expertly know the café menu and serve items as intended.
• Address customer concerns and liaise with the Caf Manager when necessary.
• Stay informed about business updates and new initiatives.
• Clean and sanitize tables to maintain a hygienic environment.
