Job Overview
This role involves spearheading the techno-commercial functions at the site, combining technical expertise with commercial insights to enhance operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and support strategies integrating technical and commercial aspects for site initiatives and projects.
- Conduct comprehensive techno-commercial evaluations to guide operational and procurement decisions.
- Provide essential technical guidance during commercial negotiations and vendor selection processes.
- Align site operations strictly with organizational goals via value analysis and cost optimization efforts.
- Manage ALL (AALL) and warehousing operations ensuring smooth and economical handling, storage, and transportation of materials.
- Partner closely with stores and warehousing teams to enhance operational efficiency and reduce overhead costs.
- Support logistics planning, improve space utilization and oversee inventory control mechanisms.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures across materials handling, logistics, and storage.
- Execute value engineering initiatives and benchmarking to heighten efficiency and profitability.
- Assist in the evaluation, negotiation, and monitoring of vendor contracts ensuring compliance and performance standards.
- Critically assess capital expenditure proposals by performing feasibility studies, ROI calculations, and cost-benefit analysis aligned with business strategies.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, ERP-based monitoring (such as SAP), and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams including procurement, supply chain, production, finance, and site leadership to facilitate seamless operations and project delivery.
- Analyze financial and operational data to create analytic reports that drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
- Lead and mentor techno-commercial teams to develop capabilities and foster a performance-driven culture.

- Measured success in cost reduction and optimization.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
- MBA or PGDM with specialization in Operations, Supply Chain, or Finance is preferred.
- 8 to 15 years of experience in techno-commercial roles within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Hands-on knowledge of procurement, contract management, warehousing, and plant operations.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar.
- Demonstrated strength in techno-commercial judgment, financial and cost analysis, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, analytical problem-solving, process compliance, and continuous improvement orientation.
