Role Overview
We are expanding internationally and require a Global Tax Reporting and Compliance Manager to join our focused tax team. This role involves collaborating with Finance, Legal, and other regional teams to manage complex international tax compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee tax compliance activities for the Group, coordinating with the finance team and external advisors to ensure timely, accurate tax filings in all jurisdictions.
- Track and manage tax risks, maintain documentation on tax positions, and assist in assessing uncertain tax items for reporting.
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions, monitor the effective tax rate and cash tax commitments, and analyze drivers for significant variances and risks.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance of Pillar 2 regulations across over 15 jurisdictions, including deferred tax assessments and filing duties.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in global tax laws, proactively identifying impacts and providing tax solutions to business teams to ensure compliance.
- Advise business teams on tax matters to enable well-informed decisions.
- Assist in handling tax controversies by working with local finance teams and external advisors on audits, submissions, and dispute resolution.
- Contribute to improving processes such as documentation standards, reporting workflows, and tax-related automation projects.
- Develop strong partnerships with non-tax departments including Business, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to share tax insights proactively.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Over 10 years’ experience in international tax roles, including a blend of Big 4/advisory and in-house positions.
- Exceptional proficiency in tax accounting and compliance, along with analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Deep understanding of Pillar 2 concepts and requirements for Country-by-Country reporting.
- Proactive self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced, startup-like setting; adaptable and resourceful.
- Strong analytical ability with focus on detail and broader perspective.
- Knowledge of US/EU tax regulations and international tax experience related to US-listed multinational corporations is highly desirable.
- Experience or familiarity with applying AI technologies in tax processes, such as for compliance, data analysis, or automation, is advantageous.
