About the Role
Join PwC New Zealand's Tax Pooling Solutions (TPS) team, a specialist division dedicated to assisting businesses in managing their tax liabilities with enhanced flexibility and assurance. Our team blends deep technical knowledge with outstanding client service to provide impactful, practical solutions.
As an Associate in this dynamic environment, you will engage in daily operational, financial, and client service tasks, fostering strong relationships, gaining comprehensive business insight, and acquiring experience across multiple functions. Responsibilities
- Create customised tax pooling quotes to help clients optimize cash flow and mitigate penalties and interest exposure.
- Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with tax agents, finance professionals, and business owners, primarily through telephone and email interactions.
- Manage daily business operations including processing funding requests, conducting reconciliations, reporting, and handling administrative duties.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance systems, streamline workflows, and support business growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with PwC’s quality, risk management, and operational standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years' experience in office-based client service, operational, or administrative roles.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when handling financial data and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a natural aptitude for building rapport and sustaining client relationships.
- Confidence and aptitude in working with numerical data, including familiarity with interest calculations and reconciliations; eagerness to develop financial modelling skills is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple priorities and consistently deliver high-quality results.
- Holding a degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
