About the Role
Join Deloitte's dedicated Financial Services Tax team based in Singapore, a vibrant group consisting of tax advisors, accountants, legal professionals, and economists with extensive experience from leading firms and in-house roles worldwide. Our department serves a wide range of financial sectors including Banking, Capital Markets, Investment Management, Real Estate, Insurance, and emerging fields like Digital Assets.
In this leadership role, you will handle the complete tax journey, covering advisory services, fund structure consultation, tax compliance, due diligence, and dispute resolution. You will often lead regional and global assignments, tackling complex and cutting-edge financial service challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand client relationships to foster business growth.
- Lead, develop, and inspire your team, ensuring their growth and operational excellence.
- Manage complex tax advisory and compliance projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results and client satisfaction.
- Provide expert advice on tax technical matters and oversee workstreams related to M&A transactions including due diligence, structuring, and SPA support.
- Collaborate closely with partners, specialists, and cross-functional teams to deliver superior client service.
- Stay informed about financial services sector developments to help innovate and improve offerings.
- Represent Deloitte as a respected tax advisor and thought leader externally.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 12 years corporate tax experience, ideally with exposure to both compliance and advisory roles within a Big Four, international accounting or law firm, or financial institution.
- A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or related business field.
- CPA or CA certification is highly desirable; SCTP accreditation is an advantage.
- Proven expertise in one or more financial services subsectors such as banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management, real estate, digital assets, or M&A taxation.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple significant client engagements.
- Excellent communication, business acumen, commercial insight, and judgment.
- Experience mentoring and delegating to junior staff, building effective teams.
- Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate proactive professional development.
