Role Overview

The Task Associate plays a vital role in supporting operational excellence by contributing to sales drivers that create exceptional guest experiences. This involves maintaining stocked merchandise, ensuring cleanliness, and completing operational tasks as assigned. The associate supports the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager by focusing on performance metrics, fostering a positive environment for guests and peers, and adhering to operating procedures and compliance standards, all requiring meticulous attention to detail and adherence to processes.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to achieving or surpassing the store's retail goals by executing tasks effectively to guarantee merchandise availability.
• Ensure compliance and execution of operational processes such as shipment and replenishment, merchandise setups, and inventory counts timely and accurately.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Promote an inclusive workplace that supports colleagues and customers alike.
• Engage regularly in ongoing training encompassing brand and category knowledge for continuous professional growth and enhanced sales results.
• Adhere strictly to Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Conduct merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using company technology and best practices.
• Maintain assigned areas to be replenished, signed, faced, and keep product testers available.
• Uphold excellent store standards including cleanliness in salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break areas.
• Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and delivering outstanding guest service.
• Perform additional operational duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Preferred minimum of one year of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience combination.
• Proficiency with basic technology such as Point-of-Sale systems and Apple devices.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and availability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Continuous movement throughout the store during shifts.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
• Regular lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 pounds.
• Consistent coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts.
