Opportunity Overview

We are not currently advertising an active vacancy, but are assembling a network of highly skilled backend engineers specializing in Typescript or Golang with strong Web3 expertise. Candidates who successfully complete our rigorous interview process will become part of our Pre-Qualified Talent Network, positioning them for priority consideration as new roles become available. This approach allows rapid recruiting for emerging engineering needs focused on decentralized finance innovations.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and APIs powering 1inch products and internal tools.
• Enhance system scalability, reliability, maintainability, and developer experience of backend infrastructure.
• Design and implement integrations with blockchain smart contract platforms, data sources, and external services.
• Support observability capabilities through monitoring, incident response, and post-incident analysis.
• Optimize performance, resilience, and operational efficiency of backend services.
• Work collaboratively with product, blockchain, and infrastructure teams to deliver stable distributed systems.
• Engage in code reviews, testing procedures, and promoting engineering best practices throughout development.
• For senior engineers: oversee projects end-to-end, guide technical strategy, and mentor colleagues.

Required Qualifications

• Proven professional experience building and operating backend systems in live production environments.
• Strong skills in Golang, Typescript, or equivalent backend language including concurrency and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of system architecture concepts like services, data flows, reliability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology, including smart contracts, transaction processing, and on-chain integration.
• Experience with containerized applications and modern deployment workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities suited for dynamic engineering settings.
• Ability to achieve a balance between technical quality, scalability, and operational dependability.
• For senior roles: demonstrated experience managing projects fully and shaping system architecture decisions.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Knowledge of multiple blockchain chains or non-Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystems.
• Exposure to on-chain data indexing, observability tools, or protocol debugging.
• Background developing performance-critical systems such as routing algorithms, risk management controls, or high-throughput data pipelines.
• Work experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or other domains demanding high accuracy and correctness.
• Familiarity with distributed systems or low-latency infrastructure design.
