Key Duties
- Produce, test, debug, and maintain efficient, scalable, and high-quality code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Lead and participate in technical discussions to enhance team performance and contribute toward company objectives and key results.
- Drive innovation by proposing and instigating improvements that boost efficiency and performance within the team.
- Analyze and solve complex technical problems, ensuring contributions align with team goals and initiatives.
- Take ownership of medium-scale projects or system components from conception through completion independently.
- Identify areas of enhancement and proactively engage in technical dialogues to foster advancement.
- Share expertise and best coding practices, cultivating a collaborative and knowledge-driven team atmosphere.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing constructive feedback to support their technical and professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, product managers, and other engineering teams to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development.
- Proficient in Node.js, Microservices architecture, Docker containers, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines including tools like AWS Code Pipeline and GitHub Actions to automate deployments.
- Knowledgeable in subscription technologies such as WebSockets and Pub/Sub, with skills in TypeScript, GraphQL, and databases including PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to excel in dynamic and fast-moving environments.
- Excellent communication skills, essential for team collaboration and engagement with project stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and growing as a comprehensive full-stack engineer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Svelte and SvelteKit frameworks or similar server-side rendering setups like React with NextJS, Vue with Nuxt, or Quasar.
- Solid fundamentals in JavaScript, along with familiarity with Storybook and related frontend technologies.
