About the Role
Join Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited's Culture & People Experience Team as a Talent Acquisition Officer for the North Administrative region. This position supports the Group-wide Talent Acquisition unit by managing interview scheduling, candidate assessments, and onboarding activities. Situated in Kingston, the role aims to help grow and maintain a high-performing workforce aligned with the Group’s strategic goals within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize interviews by reserving venues or setting up online platforms and coordinating schedules for interview panelists.
- Communicate with shortlisted candidates to arrange interviews and provide pre-interview instructions.
- Send detailed email communications to candidates regarding interview logistics and expectations.
- Prepare and distribute necessary documents such as cover letters, resumes, test results, and application forms to interview panels.
- Conduct interview tests and psychometric evaluations and share outcomes with management and recruiting staff.
- Manage employment documentation compilation for new hires and transfers.
- Review new hire data within the Talent Management System and facilitate relevant communications to ensure seamless onboarding.
- Gather and process payroll information forms for incoming and transitioning employees.
- Notify unsuccessful candidates with polite regrets and formally close requisitions.
- Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management Studies, or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working within Human Resources.
- Proficient with computer software including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Familiarity with Jamaica Labour Law, Pensions Act, and Insurance regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective interaction across all organizational levels.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Basic understanding of HR systems and administrative processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
