Tailor

Role Overview

As a Tailor at Hilton, your core responsibilities include modifying staff uniforms and mending guest belongings to ensure exceptional experiences for both guests and team members. You will also coordinate with laundry service providers and maintain an organized uniform deposit procedure.

Key Duties

• Inspect uniforms for cleanliness and condition, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Adjust uniforms to properly fit staff members.
• Support laundry operations when necessary, including washing, folding, and storing linens.
• Repair guest items upon request and provide valet services.
• Collaborate with laundry and dry-cleaning suppliers regarding uniform upkeep.
• Assist onboarding staff with uniform distribution and relevant paperwork.
• Manage uniform deposit systems in coordination with the finance department.
• Control outgoing uniforms, including for new and current employees.
• Conduct uniform inventory audits as requested and maintain proper stock levels.
• Ensure soiled or damaged linens are correctly bagged and disposed of.
• Maintain the linen room and uniform storage areas.
• Report maintenance needs and potential hazards promptly.
• Adhere strictly to hotel security policies, fire safety protocols, and health and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Capable of performing well under pressure.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in team settings.
• Expertise in sewing and operation of sewing machines.
• Highly organized and methodical in approach.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience as a seamstress or tailor is a significant advantage.
