Job description
Position Overview
Join Halfords Autocentres in Bristol as a Vehicle Technician, where you will advance your mechanical career and have the opportunity to obtain your MOT Tester certification with full support and salary benefits upon successful qualification. This role is based onsite, operating 5 days a week, with Sundays off.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle servicing and repair tasks, including complex operations such as clutch and timing belt replacements.
- Conduct diagnostic work across various vehicle systems including electrical, braking, steering, and suspension.
- Once MOT qualified, carry out MOT tests adhering to DVSA standards.
- Ensure high-quality maintenance and repair work to keep customers' vehicles safe and operational.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent credential.
- Have at least four years of experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a workshop setting.
- Hold a valid full driving license with no more than nine penalty points.
- Demonstrate ability in diagnostic work and handling advanced repairs and replacements.
- Willingness to undertake MOT Tester training and achieve qualification.

- On-target earnings can reach up to £41,240 annually, including a base salary up to £34,640.
