Role Overview
Join Larsen & Toubro's EduTech initiative, which bridges academia and industry by providing industry-aligned learning and development. We are looking for a System Test Engineer to lead the testing efforts for Autonomous Well Operations platforms, ensuring seamless integration and high reliability of control systems within oil and gas contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive test strategies covering system, integration, regression, and acceptance testing for Autonomous Well Operations.
- Validate workflows, control mechanisms, and interactions among field devices to ensure accurate autonomous operations.
- Test integrations involving SCADA, PLCs, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), data historians, and control networks.
- Conduct failure mode, safety, reliability, and performance assessments, verifying real-time system attributes such as latency, determinism, and resource usage.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in controls, embedded systems, software development, and data science to troubleshoot and resolve issues, aiming to maintain exceptional product quality and minimize defects after release.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in industrial automation, embedded systems, or control system testing.
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of oil and gas production operations along with expertise in field instrumentation.
- Experience working with pressure, flow, and temperature sensors, along with valves, chokes, and actuators.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities paired with effective communication skills.
