Swimming Coach

Position Overview

The Society Sport Center's Academy is seeking a dedicated Swimming Instructor tasked with delivering exceptional swim coaching for children and adults at all skill levels. Reporting to the Academy Manager, this role involves fostering swimmer development in a secure, motivating environment, driving program participation, and contributing to the center's commercial success.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured group and private swim lessons tailored to individual abilities using a recognized learn-to-swim framework.
• Create progressive lesson plans emphasizing water safety, stroke improvement, and swimming techniques.
• Track swimmers' progress and give constructive feedback to both participants and parents.
• Assess swimmers to determine appropriate advancement stages and programs.
• Manage attendance and achievement records meticulously.
• Maintain pool safety by supervising lessons, enforcing rules, and inspecting equipment.
• Address incidents following established emergency protocols.
• Promote swimming programs to boost enrollment, retention, and membership conversion.
• Support special activities including camps, galas, and seasonal events.
• Adhere strictly to safeguarding policies and uphold the Society's premium brand standards.
• Collaborate with the Academy team for program excellence and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a recognized swimming instructor certification such as Swim England / ASA Level 2, STA Level 2, or an equivalent qualification.
• Preferred certifications include lifeguard qualification (e.g., RLSS NPLQ) and First Aid/CPR certification.
• At least two years of experience instructing swimmers across a range of ages and skill levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working in GCC or Qatar preferred; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
