Job description
Role Overview
A prominent landscape and infrastructure construction firm is looking for an experienced Surveyor. This role involves carrying out precise site surveys, leveling, and setting-out tasks to ensure all project measurements align with the provided drawings and technical specifications. The Surveyor will work closely with site and engineering teams to facilitate smooth project progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct topographical, layout, and leveling surveys for construction and landscaping projects.
- Establish coordinates, reference points, and benchmarks as per approved plans.
- Confirm site levels, dimensions, and alignments during various construction phases.
- Keep detailed survey logs and create as-built documentation and reports.
- Operate and service surveying tools including Total Station, GPS devices, and leveling instruments.
- Collaborate with project management and QA/QC teams to guarantee measurement precision.
- Evaluate subcontractor surveying deliverables to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Assist in producing as-built drawings and associated handover documents.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational background: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in surveying for landscape, civil, or infrastructure projects; GCC experience is advantageous.
- Competency in operating Total Station, GPS technologies, and AutoCAD software.
- Solid understanding of topographic and setting-out methodologies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and capable of generating precise reports.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within teams.
