About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Build supportive and trusting relationships with people with intellectual disabilities.
- Facilitate learning new skills and achieving personal goals tailored to individuals' aspirations.
- Encourage participation in community life and help individuals connect with local opportunities.
- Provide physical support where necessary to ensure safety and promote independence.
- Use technology, including computers and tablets, as part of daily support activities.
Candidate Requirements
- No previous health or disability sector experience required - full training and orientation will be provided.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, overnight, and weekends as part of 24/7 service provision.
- Competent use of computers and tablets on a daily basis.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physical fitness suitable for providing hands-on support when needed.
- Possession of a full New Zealand driver’s license.
