Job Overview

We seek an experienced Supply Planning & Scheduling Coordinator based in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, to play a pivotal role in managing the supply of locally manufactured products and imported materials. Collaborating across Customer Service, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, suppliers, and international teams, the role ensures availability of products to meet customer demands while optimizing inventory and supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supply planning processes and maintain production schedules aligned with business needs.
  • Create capacity plans and assist in optimizing inventory levels.
  • Oversee material forecasts, coordinate purchase requisitions, and monitor supplier performance.
  • Support supply planning activities within Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) frameworks.
  • Identify and manage supply risks, material constraints, and delivery performance to minimize disruptions.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Drive continuous process improvements to enhance service levels, operational efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Promote and support a robust safety culture and contribute to various Supply Chain initiatives.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain, planning, scheduling, or operations roles.
  • Tertiary qualification in supply chain management, operations, business, or a closely related discipline is preferred.
  • Certification such as CPIM or APICS is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP, especially its Material Requirements Planning (MRP) functionalities.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities combined with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kepner-Tregoe.
