Job description
Job Overview
This role involves troubleshooting technical issues related to computer software and systems, offering technical advice to address business challenges, and driving process enhancements. The position includes managing and supporting applications, user accounts, and telecommunications operations while maintaining detailed records of IT activities and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and system technical issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide guidance for resolving business-related technical problems and recommend improvements.
- Manage and maintain applications, user accounts, and computer peripherals for effective integration.
- Maintain accurate logs of data communications and installation or remedial actions taken.
- Train users in proper hardware and software usage to optimize system effectiveness.
- Coordinate telecommunications resources, including client/server support and strategic planning activities.
- Advise on policies, procedures, and priorities concerning telecommunications.
- Assist management with staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Promote a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and addressing employee concerns appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, protect assets, and maintain professional communication.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform physical tasks including moving objects up to 10 pounds and other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School diploma or degree.
- Minimum of two years of related professional experience in IT or systems support.
- No prior supervisory experience is required.
- No specific licenses or certifications mandated.
