Job description
Position Overview
The Style Coordinator in Housekeeping plays a crucial role in managing the cleanliness and preparation of guest rooms to ensure high standards of hospitality at W Hotels. This role involves coordinating daily housekeeping activities, managing room status updates, resolving discrepancies, and fostering communication between housekeeping and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate reports of sold rooms and verify room cleaning status.
- Identify and prioritize rooms requiring attention and update their status accordingly.
- Support Housekeeping management with daily operational tasks.
- Serve as a communication link between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry teams to coordinate efforts.
- Document and address discrepancies in room status with the Front Desk team.
- Prepare and distribute room cleaning assignments to housekeeping staff effectively.
- Maintain and update the list of 'Do Not Disturb' rooms.
- Ensure timely cleaning of vacant and previously restricted rooms.
- Complete all required housekeeping documentation and paperwork.
Compliance and Standards
- Adhere to all company safety, security policies, and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
- Complete necessary safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of company information.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests respectfully, anticipating their needs and expressing appreciation.
- Support quality standards and foster positive team relationships.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Use computer systems to input and retrieve work-related information accurately.
Physical and Other Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Capable of moving and handling objects weighing up to 10 pounds unaided.
- Willingness to perform additional reasonable duties as directed by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a related role.
- Supervisory experience is not required.
- No license or certifications mandatory.
