Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to spearhead the structural design, assessment, and engineering execution of significant high-rise tower developments throughout the UAE. The role requires managing structural systems for tall buildings, including foundation design and assessment of seismic and wind forces, securing authority approvals, and overseeing technical site activities from initial design to project handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of structural concepts and detailed designs, including dynamic analyses for wind and seismic loads, deep foundation engineering, and lateral force-resisting structures specifically for tall buildings.
  • Review and authorize structural calculations, drawings, BIM/3D models, methodology documentation, and value engineering solutions.
  • Provide on-site technical support by addressing complex structural challenges, supervising core wall and slab pouring sequences, inspecting steel connections, and managing post-tensioning operations.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of structural documentation for approvals, obtaining technical endorsements from local authorities and independent peer reviewers such as Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Municipality, and Civil Defense.

Candidate Requirements

  • Over 15 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with demonstrated leadership in designing and executing major high-rise projects within the UAE or Gulf Cooperation Council region.
  • Proficient with software tools ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, and REVIT, combined with comprehensive understanding of international design standards including ACI, British Standards, Eurocodes, ASCE, and regional structural codes applied in the GCC.
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; advanced degrees such as a Master's or Ph.D. are advantageous.
