We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial oversight and cost control aspects of significant high-rise tower developments throughout the UAE and GCC region. The role entails full accountability for cost planning, procurement oversight, managing variations, interim payment processing, claims evaluation, and final account closure, spanning from pre-contract stages to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost management activities including budget creation, cost planning, cash flow forecasting, and value engineering focused on high-rise structural frameworks, facade systems, and MEP packages.
  • Manage contract administration by overseeing FIDIC and local construction contract forms, handling interim payment claims, processing variation orders, and supervising subcontractor accounts.
  • Handle claims and disputes by assessing, quantifying, and negotiating commercial claims, including prolongation charges and extension of time (EOT) claims.
  • Coordinate procurement and tendering processes by preparing tender documentation, bills of quantities (BOQ), evaluating contractual risks, and comparing trade packages.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in quantity surveying with a strong track record on major high-rise commercial or residential projects in the UAE or GCC.
  • Profound understanding of FIDIC contract conditions, local GCC government standard forms, POMI/CESMM measurement standards, and dispute resolution techniques.
  • Academic qualifications including a Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Civil Engineering; MRICS certification is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellence in cost estimation, contract negotiation, financial reporting, along with fluency in English.
