Role Overview

We are actively seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Structural Drafter to become part of an engaged structural engineering team. This team focuses on a wide array of commercial and industrial projects. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in delivering precise structural documentation and enjoy close collaboration with engineers, contributing throughout the phases from design to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive structural drawings and prepare documentation utilizing Revit software.
• Develop structural models, general arrangement drawings, and detailed documentation tailored for commercial and industrial assignments.
• Generate detailed drawings for structural steel and reinforced concrete components.
• Work alongside structural engineers to interpret designs, sketches, and technical requirements accurately.
• Coordinate structural models and drawings with architectural plans and documents from other consultants.
• Oversee revision cycles in drawings, adapting them to evolving design changes during the project's life.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, maintain high quality standards, and adhere to Australian Standards.
• Provide precise documentation within established project timelines.

Candidate Profile

• Proven background as a Structural Drafter within a structural engineering consultancy environment.
• Advanced skills in Revit, with hands-on experience in producing structural models and documentation.
• Familiarity working on commercial and/or industrial building projects.
• Understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing practices.
• Ability to translate engineering designs into accurate construction documents.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards relevant to structural drafting.
• Exceptional attention to detail paired with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and an aptitude for collaborative teamwork across multiple disciplines.
