Job description
Overview
This role supports the Strategy function by conducting detailed market and competitor analyses, evaluating strategic opportunities, coordinating strategic initiatives, and producing comprehensive reports and presentations to aid informed decision-making and steer Business Development priorities.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and periodic update of Annual and 3- to 5-Year Strategic Plans, gathering and verifying data from business units to maintain strategy alignment and accuracy.
- Perform comprehensive research on industry trends, competitor actions, emerging technologies, and potential new geographic markets; distill insights into reports and executive summaries indicating impacts on the company.
- Support initial assessments for new business ventures, services, or market expansions by preparing feasibility studies, SWOT analyses, and opportunity briefs.
- Design, develop, and sustain financial and business models to assess investments and strategic initiatives; conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to inform decision-making.
- Oversee and coordinate the execution of approved strategic projects across business units; monitor progress, flag risks or deviations, and deliver status updates.
- Produce strategic documents including reports, dashboards, KPIs, and presentations for board-level audiences ensuring precision, consistency, and alignment with corporate messaging.
- Serve as a communication bridge between Strategy, Business Units, and Business Development to facilitate efficient information exchange and aid transition of vetted opportunities to Business Development for implementation.
Qualifications and Experience
- 8 to 10 years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, market research, management consultancy, or financial/business analysis.
- Preference for candidates with exposure to one or more of the following industries: EPC/Construction, Energy & Utilities (including Transmission, Distribution, Renewables), Infrastructure Development, Facility Management, or Project Development.
- Proven capabilities in market and competitive research with the ability to convert findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Experience constructing business cases, feasibility assessments, and financial evaluations.
- Skilled in preparing high-level presentations and strategy documents for executive leadership.
- Adept at collaborating across multiple business units and functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline), Business Administration, Economics, or Finance is required.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred if the undergraduate degree is in Engineering.
