Role Overview

The Stores Expeditor plays a vital role in ensuring the timely coordination and delivery of aircraft parts, materials, and repair orders to meet maintenance demands and urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations. Acting as a key liaison between production, procurement, warehouse operations, and external carriers, this position ensures smooth material flow and communication throughout the supply chain.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for expediting material requests, coordinating efforts among Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping, Warehouse, and Production teams.
  • Provide frequent updates on material status including delays and expedited shipments to Operations Management and key stakeholders.
  • Work with freight providers such as FedEx to resolve delivery issues and shipment holds promptly.
  • Participate in customer and operational meetings to relay material status, delivery expectations, and critical requirements feedback.
  • Coordinate and prioritize urgent AOG material needs, ensuring critical parts reach the production floor without delay.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for material statuses, shipment tracking, repair orders, and expediting actions.
  • Manage repair order processes between customers, suppliers, internal teams, and AAR personnel to facilitate timely completion.
  • Escalate supply shortages, delivery challenges, and other supply chain problems to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Engage actively in the facility’s Safety Management System by reporting hazards and incidents encountered and uphold safety policies consistently.
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of a High School Diploma.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse functions, shipping/receiving, logistics, material handling, or supply chain coordination.
  • Understanding of inventory management, transportation logistics, and material workflows, ideally within manufacturing or aviation contexts.
  • Eligibility to obtain certifications for receiving stamps and hazardous materials shipping.
  • Demonstrated strong skills in organization, communication, and problem solving.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and respond quickly to urgent operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a solution-focused mindset.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and cooperate effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and experience with inventory or ERP systems is advantageous.

Benefits and Work Environment

  • Annual uniform and safety boot allowance provided.
  • Comprehensive benefits plan including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement savings plan with company matching contributions.
