About Shangri-La Jeddah

Situated on the scenic Jeddah Waterfront by the Red Sea, Shangri-La Jeddah offers a luxurious hospitality experience with chic interiors inspired by the sea and beach surroundings. The hotel features floor-to-ceiling windows, 203 elegant rooms and suites, 17 upscale serviced apartments, and 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences with access to wellness facilities. It also boasts five diverse restaurants and lounges including the renowned Shang Palace, and is conveniently located close to notable landmarks and the Red Sea Mall.

Role Overview

The Storekeeper will manage the reception, storage, oversight, and issuance of hotel supplies procured via the Purchasing Department. This includes verifying deliveries, maintaining stock integrity, and ensuring proper inventory documentation and rotation protocols are adhered to, serving various hotel departments efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming items, checking against purchase orders and delivery notes for accuracy.
  • Confirm quantity, quality, and condition of all goods received.
  • Keep precise inventory and stock records up to date.
  • Store supplies correctly, following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) methods.
  • Distribute materials based on approved store requisitions.
  • Monitor minimum stock levels and notify Purchasing to replenish supplies timely.
  • Carry out routine stock audits and resolve any discrepancies found.
  • Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and securely managed storeroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in roles such as Storekeeper, Purchasing Storekeeper, or Receiving Clerk, ideally within the hotel sector.
  • Solid knowledge of purchase orders, delivery notes, requisition handling, and inventory documentation.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
