Storekeeper

Job Overview

The storekeeper is responsible for managing all warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, delivery coordination, stock management, record keeping, and supervision of surplus inventory and assets at the site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations such as receiving shipments, coordinating deliveries, tracking stock, and documenting transactions.
• Inspect and verify all inbound materials against purchase orders, handle documentation processes, and report any discrepancies or damages on received goods.
• Coordinate intra-site and inter-site deliveries of surplus office furniture and stock, maintaining accurate logs of all dispatches.
• Assist in fulfilling supply requests, support the buyer with ordering sufficient merchandise and supplies, and deliver orders to the central purchasing team.
• Receive, label, store, and monitor surplus property; prepare lists for items to be used or discarded.
• Arrange shipping of cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as necessary.
• Implement Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards and procedures consistently.
• Conduct inventories in line with company policies.
• Adhere to and promote QHSE policies and mandatory requirements.
• Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe behaviors to management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 10 years' experience in warehouse and storage management within the Catering or Food & Beverage industry.
• Completion of secondary school education.
• Experience working in FMCG warehouses with computer literacy; prior exposure to cold storage environments preferred.
• Strong proficiency with computerized stock control systems and Excel.
• Knowledge of food safety standards such as ISO or HACCP.
• Effective command of English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
